Match Report

Match Report - 26 Jul 2008, Borden Village FC 1st XI beat CHILHAM

Borden entertained Chilham runners up in the Canterbury Premier League today at the Playstool, it was a well contested match with Borden playing the better football for the first 35 minutes, Chilham then got their game together and started to put pressure on the Borden Defence which held out very well, even with last minute standin Goalkeeper Nick Denham who pulled off some terrific saves, but Borden seemed too strong for their opponents and went ahead with a brilliant piece of football and Nicky Fuller scored. This lifted Borden and we soon had another two goals, but we sat back and at the break the score was 3-2. After a good halftime chat by Knocker and Kari the team came out and played the better football again and scored fairly quickly. Chilham did not give up and bought the scores level and this spured Borden on and they bagged two more goals and did not conceed. All being said and done it was a good performance by all involved today and the fitness of the team did not drop from start to finish.

Well Done Boys Keep It Up.
