Match Report - 21 Mar 2015, Borden Village FC 1st XI beat New Romney
A penalty shoot out was all that separated the two sides as Borden won their way through to their third successive Weald of Kent Final. The visitors proved to be a tougher proposition than anticipated and early exchanges were even. Borden went closest to taking the lead when Ross Frost had a header cleared off the line and Paul Teague sent a shot just over the bar. They took the lead midway through the first half when Sam Brown converted a penalty after George Latham was brought down.The second half saw the visitors come out fighting and after keeper Charlie Donoghue had made a good save he was beaten after they broke way to draw level. The remainder of the 90 minutes continued to go either way and after extra time the score remained at 1-1. In the penalty shoot out Borden scored all five penalties to go through to the final against APM Reserves on Good Friday.
