Match Report

Match Report - 04 Oct 2014, Borden Village FC 1st XI beat Chipstead

Borden recorded their first league win of the season in the NRG Kent County League Premier Division in what turned out to be tricky conditions in the heavy rain. Borden dominated and took the lead when a Paul Teague free kick was fumbled by the keeper and George Latham converted from close range. Shortly afterwards Latham was on target again, scoring from close range to give Borden a 2-0 lead. As half time approached Jay Law scored his first of the season scoring in the corner after his initial shot had been saved to increase the lead. After the break Borden dominated the game and Ross Frost added a fourth, converting from a corner. Next Saturday Borden have a welcome home game when they entertain Staplehurst & Monarchs.
