Match Report - 03 May 2014, Borden Village FC 1st XI drew with Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks produced the early pressure, however Borden soon settled and began to dominate during the second quarter, but neither side were able to produce a goal by half time. The second half continued with Borden on the attack until 47 mins. when a controversial free kick just inside the Borden half produced an unexpected goal for the home side. Two minutes later Ashley Baverstock broke free down the right and drove a low shot across the keeper to make it 1-1. On 55 mins. the home keeper had his clearance blocked by a quick thinking George Latham, which resulted in the ball rolling into the goal. With 15 mins left Sevenoaks were awarded a penalty and despite Luke Titshall diving the right way he was unable to stop a well taken shot to bring the scores level. Borden continued to press forward but were unable to get the winner.
