Match Report - 23 Nov 2013, Borden Village FC 1st XI v Park Regis match cancelled

In the opening stages it was the home side who created the better chances and Paul Teague looked certain to put the villagers ahead when he wriggled free of his marker rounded the keeper only to see his shot graze the top of the crossbar. Meanwhile Park Regis began to ask questions of the home defence and shortly before half time Borden’s Keeper Luke Titshall made a fine save from a goal bound shot. Five minutes after the restart and with a large crowd looking forward to a keenly contested second half the game came to an abrupt halt when the visitors keeper Robert Drake sustained a serious injury later confirmed as a broken leg. Following a lengthily delay and with daylight fading the referee had little alternative than to abandon the match.
