Match Report - 23 Mar 2013, Borden Village FC 1st XI beat Tenterden Town

The villagers played their best football of the season in a 10 1 demolition of Tenterden Town .Straight from the whistle the home side went on the attack and Taz Baker opened the scoring after 5mins. Ten minutes later Liam Baxindale added another and the visitors were in trouble before the break Borden went 3 up through Tommy Price and an emphatic win looked on the cards. The second half produced an avalanche of goals from the home side. Baxindale claimed his second before a lapse in concentration from the home defence allowed the visitors to claim a consolation goal. There was still no let up as Borden pressed and when Dan Hudson was brought down in the box up stepped Mark Roberts to send the keeper the wrong way. Roberts found the net again with a superb free kick from the edge of the box and shortly afterwards substitute Martin Kemsley headed home from a corner. Further goals from Price and a brace from Lee Hudson completed the rout. Borden now eagerly await their Weald of Kent Senior Cup Final scheduled for Good Friday at Ashford against Division 1 side Kennington.
